      Part III of Claire’s & my European adventure found us on the overnight DB from Paris to Munich. A special thank you to Claire’s relative for serving as a tour guide and to Claire for her quick German lessons! (Danke schön!)

      Photos include moments from the Marienplatz, the English Garden, and Nymphenburg Palace. (I refrained from posting a really shoddy iPhone image of a train station sign at Ulm, the city of my birth.) It was explained to us that Munich is always in movement and forever changing its facade. We were also told the locals have an affinity for Italian culture, thus the Italian Renaissance inspired architecture and Italian coffee bars. However, my favorite aspect of this leg of the journey was the very large beers which we enjoyed in the middle of a biergarten despite the pouring rain.
