Of all the countries Claire & I visited during the summer of 2014, we experienced the best weather in England. Not quite what anyone would expect, no? We stayed in an Airbnb in Marylebone and used the Tube (and a lot of walking) as our mode of transportation. As we were lucky to meet with a new friend in Haslemere, we also met with two more friends while in London. I can’t thank Samantha and Melissa enough for showing us around the city! From the Borough Market to Buckingham Palace, there was plenty to photograph, and we didn’t even see it all. If you know anything about me, it would be quite easy to guess my favorite spot: Queen Mary’s Gardens located within Regent’s Park. The colors and scents of gorgeous flowers in full bloom inspired us to visit once more during the golden hour before we left for our next destination. The summertime lifestyle in England is so pleasant; its citizens meet in their favorite pubs or parks to relish the sunshine and each other’s company. It makes me long to go back!
Photos above include scenes from the Embankment, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey (including a spot where I was not supposed to be, oops), Trafalgar Square, and Regent’s Park.

And lastly, I’d like to offer my best travel tip ever: don’t forget your undergarments. True story, y’all. It may result in an unintended shopping trip when you first arrive.
