Having both grown up in Blairsville, Laura & Andrew kept their wedding local to the scenic mountain town and spent the day with their closest family and friends. High school sweethearts who dated through college, one could sense the deep love and admiration the two carry for one another. From my time with them I had learned that they were each hospitable and kind, but together these traits are amplified making them a truly gracious couple. I’m sure that any friend new or old is lucky to have them in his or her life.

When Laura described the intended setting for her and Andrew’s wedding, she said it would be just like the mountains from their engagement shoot but with a large lake. I was immediately excited by this prospect and even more so upon seeing it in person. Every aspect of the wedding was perfectly coordinated and absolutely beautiful. Being busy med student in residency, Laura relied on her mom to help execute the finer details, and she couldn’t have picked a better person. She even designed and assembled the floral arrangements and bouquets!

      Hey there, Justin! You’re next!

Laura’s mom embroidered the table runner and chair covers. I know what you may be thinking: she did not bake the cake.

Even though they scheduled a First Look, Laura and Andrew were up for extra portraits at sunset, one of my favorite times of day to shoot. Everyone looks even more beautiful in this light!

Andrew is a former University of Georgia football player, so his teammates felt a little fight song was in order.
